Griot’s Garage is the second of two brands here that publishes no time-based durability claim for its flagship spray at all.
Background
Started by Richard Griot in his home garage in 1988, with the first catalogue in 1990 — both dates are his own words on the site, and we use 1990 as the commercial founding because that is when it became a business rather than a garage. Headquarters and a flagship retail store are in Tacoma, Washington.
The company makes a point of formulating and bottling in-house rather than badging someone else’s chemistry: “We’ve stepped up to create, formulate, and manufacture our own ceramic-based product in-house.” In a category where a great many bottles come from a handful of contract formulators, that is a claim worth noting, even though we have no way to verify it independently.
What they claim, which is less than you would expect
The whole durability claim for Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax is “More durable than conventional wax or sealant”, sitting next to the considerably bolder “The best performing, easiest-to-use sprayable ceramic on the market.” No months, no years.
This is worth a correction to the wider record. Third-party review sites routinely attribute “lasts for months” and “up to 6 months” to Griot’s for this product. Neither phrase appears on the product page we read. If you have seen those figures credited to Griot’s, they were not published by Griot’s.
The page does not even name SiO2 in its own bullets — “advanced SiO2 technology” shows up in third-party listings of the product rather than on the manufacturer’s page.

The weakest part of their showing, and the one place we are least certain. There is a “Regulatory” tab on the product page that would not open for us, so we cannot tell you whether a safety data sheet sits behind it. We have recorded that as not found rather than as absent, because those are different things and only one of them is a finding.
