Armor All is the only brand in this database that measures coating durability in car washes rather than months, and the only one whose ceramic paint spray you apparently cannot buy in the United States.
Background
Owned by Energizer Holdings, the publicly traded battery group headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. Site banners claim more than fifty years in car care without giving a founding year, and no operating headquarters for the brand itself is published.
There is no US ceramic paint spray
We went through the American ceramic range expecting to find one. What is listed is an interior protectant, wipes, leather treatment, a multi-purpose cleaner, wheel cleaner, car wash, tyre coating and glass treatment. No paint spray coating.
The product that surfaces in American searches — Extreme Shield + Ceramic Protectant — is an interior product for plastic, rubber and vinyl, and its own warning block says not to use it on paint. If you are in the US and looking for the Armor All ceramic spray you have read about, the honest answer is that it is a product for other markets.
Three regions, three different answers
The International site says the coating cures in minutes and lasts up to 100 car washes. The UK site says it cures in five minutes and lasts for months. The Australian site makes no durability claim at all.
One qualification we will not skip, because it is the difference between a finding and an accusation: the products carry different names and different SKU codes across those sites, so these may genuinely be different formulations rather than one product described three ways. We could not establish either way. What is fair to say is that a shopper cannot use an Armor All durability figure without first working out which region’s product they are holding.
The 100-washes framing is worth crediting on its own terms, though. Wash count is closer to what actually destroys a coating than elapsed time is, and it is a more useful unit than “up to 12 months” — which is why we log wash cycles in our own durability study alongside the dates.
Where Armor All’s own figures disagree
These are not our measurements. Each row is a figure the brand publishes about itself, with the page it appeared on and the date we read it. We are not adjudicating which one is correct — the useful observation is that a specification with several published values was asserted rather than measured.
